Insertion
1. Sterilise your Formoonsa Disc before you first use it. To do this, place the disc in a pot of boiling water for 3 minutes.
2. Wash your hands before and after each use. Squeeze Formoonsa disc to form a figure 8.
3. Sit, squat, or raise one leg. Guide the back rim of the disc into your vagina and push the disc back and down with your index finger towards your tailbone.
4. With that same index finger, tuck the front rim up and behind pubic bone to position the disc. To check the position of your disc, stand up, keeping your index finger on the rim of the disc.
Tips: Add a drop of water-based lubricant to the rim can make insertion more comfortable.
Removal
1. Remove your Formoonsa Disc every 12 hours.
2. Hook your index or middle finger into one of the notches, gently slide the disc out, keeping it horizontal to avoid spills, empty the contents of the disc in the toilet.
3. If possible, rinse your Formoonsa Disc with cold water after each removal to help prevent stains setting in. Clean with gentle soap and rinse.
If you're not near a tap, it’s fine to simply wipe out your disc with toilet paper and reinsert until you can rinse it.
4. At the end of your cycle sanitise your Formoonsa Disc so it's ready next time you need it. Store it in a dry place out of direct sunlight.
A Note about Self-emptying
The Formoonsa Disc can empty itself as you are bearing down on your pelvic muscles for some users when you pee. This can be handy on heavy days!
For most users, it will re-tuck itself automatically. If not, simply re-tuck the disc by pushing the front rim behind the pubic bone to ensure that it is securely placed.

Warnings
- For the best results, please follow the instructions.
- Consult your doctor if you are using an intrauterine device (IUD). While uncommon, there is a risk of dislodging, displacing or removing the IUD by pulling on the IUD string when removing the Formoonsa Disc.
- If you have ever had Toxic Shock Syndrome (TSS), do not use Formoonsa Disc or any other internally worn product.
- Immediately following childbirth, gynecological surgery, miscarriage, or termination of pregnancy, consult your physician before using Formoonsa Disc.
- Maximum wear time is twelve (12) hours.
- Menstrual Disc is NOT intended to be used as contraception and will not prevent pregnancy. If you wear your Formoonsa Disc during sexual intercourse and condoms are your sole method of birth control, remove your Formoonsa Disc - the disc has not been tested against condom use and friction may create a micro-tear in the condom.
- Menstrual Cups are not supplied in a sterile state, sterilise your cup before first time use.
- Avoid using alcohol or any kind of corrosive cleansers as well as brushes to clean your cup.
- If you experience any adverse events with Formoonsa Disc, discontinue use and consult your physician.
