How To Use
Inserting
1. Wash your hands thoroughly before opening the tampon packaging.
2. For easier insertion, you can moisten the soft tampon with a little lubricant or clean water.
3. Hold the soft tampon between your thumb and middle finger so that the punch points downwards and squeeze it. Thanks to the soft and flexible material, the soft tampon can be easily inserted into anyone who is menstruating, even if it looks a bit large compared to conventional tampons.
4. Now you can first insert the tampon with your thumb and middle finger and then push it further up in front of the cervix with your index or middle finger. You can insert the tampon while standing, with a raised leg or in a crouched position.
Removal
1. Wash your hands thoroughly before removing the tampon.
2. Most of the time, the soft tampon can be easily removed over the toilet with the help of your thumb and forefinger or your forefinger and middle finger. Alternatively, you can hook your index or middle finger into the cut-out on the lower part of the tampon and pull it out.
3. For easier removal (especially if the soft tampon lies deeper after intercourse), we recommend that you squat down on a towel or in the shower with your legs wide apart. Your pelvis moves forward, the soft tampon is pushed further down and is easier to grip with your fingers.
4. Soft tampons are also best removed when they are soaked. If this is not the case yet, you can also add additional fluid with a vaginal douche or a normal shower head. A hot bath can also help soak up the tampon and relax even more.
Please dispose of the used soft tampon with the residual waste - not with the toilet flush!
Change Soft Tampon
The length of time you wear it depends on the strength of your menstrual bleeding (approx. 2-4 hours during the heavier days, approx. 4-6 hours during the lighter days). After intercourse or swimming, you should change your tampon straight away to prevent infections. In any case, it should not be worn for longer than 8 hours. Please always remember to remove the last inserted tampon before inserting a new tampon and at the end of your period.
Warnings
- Use Each Tampon ONLY ONCE. Due to the tiny pores of the surface structure, it is hardly possible to clean the used soft tampon sufficiently. Repeated use of the same soft tampon can therefore lead to infections.
- Store Soft Tampons in their original packaging and in a dry place away from light.
- Soft Tampons can be used very well together with the IUDs. If a IUD was just newly inserted or if you have any other concerns, we recommend that you discuss this with your gynaecologist beforehand.
- If a Soft tampon cannot be removed, please visit your gynaecologist.
- Soft-Tampons are not a contraceptive device and cannot prevent pregnancy. Please note that you can also get pregnant during your period. NeverNot Soft tampons also do not protect against sexually transmitted diseases(STIs)! We always recommend the use of condoms, which you can safely use with NeverNot soft tampons.
- Toxic Shock Syndrome (TSS) is a rare but dangerous to life-threatening condition associated with tampon use. Symptoms can start suddenly and are similar to those of the flu: fever of 39 ° C and higher, vomiting, diarrhoea, dizziness, fainting and / or a rash (similar to sunburn). Measures: Early diagnosis and treatment is important to prevent serious disease progression. If you experience any of the above symptoms, remove your tampon immediately and visit a doctor. Be sure to let your doctor know that you are on your period and have used a tampon. Risk groups and risk avoidance: As rare as TSS is, it can occur in all people and occurs relatively often in menstruating people. who use tampons during their period. In order to reduce the risk of TSS, it is particularly important to adhere to the maximum wearing time of 8 hours, even with soft tampons.
